Red light camera violations

In an effort to enhance traffic safety and reduce accidents, particularly dangerous T-bone crashes, the City of Suwanee employs red light cameras at the Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and McGinnis Ferry intersection and at Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Satellite Boulevard. Photo citations of vehicles that run red lights at those intersections are mailed to the registered owner of the photographed vehicle.

The amount of the penalty is indicated on your citation; the maximum fine is $70. No points are assessed to the vehicle owner’s driving record nor is the offense reported to insurance companies. Failure to pay the fine will result in the case being referred to a collection agency.

To appeal red light citations, follow the instructions on the Notice of Appeal form. The completed form may be faxed to 678/714-0992 or scanned and e-mailed to aphelps@suwanee.com. The completed original form must be mailed to the court.
