City Holds AAA Bond Rating from Standard & Poor

The City of Suwanee's finances utilize a conservative approach that places emphasis on ensuring financial stability and long term sustainability. Suwanee has developed a philosophy of recognizing that services and associated costs should not be appropriated if they are not justified as long term goals of the City.

Financial Services is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of all city operations, such as the maintenance of all financial records including payroll, accounts payable, capital assets, cash and investments, annual financial reports, and budgets.

Suwanee’s overall fiscal health remains strong. The City holds an AAA bond rating from Standard & Poor’s rating service. This rating is a reflection of the financial management and services provided by the Financial Services Department.

In an effort to provide complete and clear financial information, the City of Suwanee has created an open data budget website, ensuring that city financial data is easily accessible and understandable for citizens.
