The City of Suwanee Police Department will be conducting a sealed bid auction of firearms through May 24, 2024, pursuant to O.C.G.A. 17-5-52.

This advertisement serves as notice as required by state law. The auction will be for the entire lot of forty-three (43) firearms (handguns) only and no firearm will be auctioned separately or alone.

All bidders must meet the requirements of the bid document and possess a valid Federal Firearms License pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. 17-5-52.

Sealed bids will be accepted Monday - Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm until May 24, 2024, at the City of Suwanee Police Department, located at 373 Highway 23 / Buford Hwy, Suwanee, GA 30024. Any bid received after this date and time will not be considered in the evaluation.

All weapons will be available for inspection from 10am -12:00 pm on May 17, 2024, at the City of Suwanee Police Training Center, located at 2966 Lawrenceville Suwanee Road, Suwanee, GA 30024.

Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. All bids shall be in duplicate and placed in a sealed envelope titled “Firearm Auction.” Bidder agrees to take possession of the firearms upon payment via certified funds within five (5) business days of being awarded the bid.

The City of Suwanee Police Department reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any formalities. Sealed bids will be evaluated on May 24, 2024, after 4:00 pm local time deadline has elapsed.
